The above named defendants will take
notice that on the 18th day of March 1904, the
plaintiff Sarah H. Hollister commenced an
action In the district court of Holt oounty,
Nebraska, against you and Mary L. Johnson
and others, the object and urayer of said
petition being to obtain a decree setting
aside, cancelling and declaring null and void
two certain contracts executed between the
plaintiff and llenjainln W. Johnson now
deceased, said contracts being dated June
17th, idol, said contracts purporting to sell
to said Johnson the following described real
estate situated 111 Holt oounty, Nebraska,
to wit:
The northeast quarter of section nine, [9|,
and the west half of the northeast quarter
and the oast half of the northwest quarter
of section two, 12], all In township thirty one
(811, north of range thirteen, [18], west of the
nth P. M. and plantlff allegeiln said petition
that the terms of said contracts were broken
and violated and that all the rights there
under were forfeited by reason of the non
fullflltnent of the terms of said contracts.
Plaintiff prays that the title to said land
be quieted in her and that the oloud cast on
the title to said land by the recording of said
contracts be removed and that the defen
dants and each of them be decreed to have
no interest, rlgbtor title In or to said land
and for other equitable relief,

The I. O. O. of this place have start
ed a movement to organize a Rebekah
lodge. There has been a goodly num
ber of ladies induced to join and the
indications are that the Odd Fellows
Auxiliary will be a pronounced success

ATKINSON.
About twelve ladies living in South
Atkinson have formed themselves in
to a walking club which meets daily
and a walk of one and a half miles or
more taken.
S. P. Robinson has disposed of his
store to P. O. Alieshouse and others,
of Council Bluffs, who will take poses
sion at once and continue the busi
ness. Mr. Robinson takes as part
payment a half section of farm land
near Mariaville, in Rock county.
Last night Holt county broke all
prolific records, when a cow belonging
to S. A. Estabrook of Inez gave birth
to live calves, four males and one
female, all of which are apparently
perfect animals and in good health.
The mother is an ordinary old cow,
weighing about 900 lbs. Some claim
that she is evidently a republican cow,
and is endeavoring to show her ap
proval of President Roosevelt’s views
on race suicide.—The Graphic.
