The above named defendants and each of
them will take notice that on the 28th day of
February, 1807, the above named plaintiff
died his petition In the district court of Holt
county. Nebraska, against said defendants,
the object and prayer being to foreclose a
certain mortgage executed 'by the defend
ants, Milton McDIrmlt and wire to
i tbe Union
Trust Company, and by It assigned to Daniel
R. Goodwin, during hfs life, for
___ a valuable
consideration and'now the property of his
said estate. Said mortgage/being given to
secure the note of the defendant, Milton
MoDlrmlt. dated November 1, 1888, for 17(10,
and due November 1,1801, with interest at 7
per cent, until maturity, and 10 per cent,
after maturity. Said mortgage being given
on the southeast quarter of section tnree,
township twenty-eight, range twelve. In Holt
county, Nebraska. Plaintiff alleges that
there Is duo on said note and mortgage the
sum of 1700 with Interest at 10 per cent, from
May 1.18HL and tbe further sum of 11(10 paid
by plaintiff to secure assignments of tax salo
certificates on said land, and alleges that said
amounts are a first lien on said premises, and
prays that said real estate may be sold to
satisfy the amount found due the plaintiff,
and that the lnteress of each of the defend
ants be decreed to be subject to said mort
gage.
And for other equitable relief.
You are required to answer said petition
on or before the 12th day of April, 1807.

An ordinance fixing the salary and compen
sation of the officers and employees of the
city of O’Neill, Nebraska,
lie It hereby ordained by the mayor and
the olty council of the city of O'Neill, Neb.,
that the salary and the compensation of the
several officers of said clt v shall be as follows:
The mayor, per year, 160,
Each councilman, per year, 826.
City Clerk, per year. 8100.
City Attorney, per year, 8100
City marshal and street commissioner, per
month, 886.
Water commissioner, per month, 836,
City welghmaster one-half of the fees re
ceived for weighing on city scales.
Night watchman, per month, 825.
All ordinances und parts of ordinances In
conflict herewith are hereby repealed. This
ordinance shall take effect and be In force
from and after Its passage and publication
according to law.
