claiming that plaintiff purchased said real
estate at tax sale on tbe Klrst day of Decent -
ber. 1888, for the taxes of the year 188T and
under such sale has paid subsequent taxes
thereon as follows:
On tho 2nd day of November, 1880, tho sum
of Twenty-four and 36-100 Dollars, and on the
14th day of July, 1890. the sum of 'Twenty-six
and 78-100 Dollars; that on the 31st day of
March, 1801, a tax deed bused on said sole
and payments was issued to plaintiff purport

for serving notice to redeem, procuring and

or March, 1801, paid costa amounting to Seven
dollars, and that by reason of said sale, pay
ment and the issuance of said deed plaintiff
claims to be the absolute owner of said laud
