Ataohg other important matters
attended to were the arrangements for
the next state convention of the Nebras
ka leagues. The convention is to be
hold in Omaha, and the dates decided
upon ary June 1. 3, 8 and 4.
A program of unusual excellence is in
prepatation. The committoe are assured
of the presence of Rev. Kdwin A. SchelL
V of Chicago, general secretary of the
national league, and other eminent
divines, including Bishop Warren, are
f expected. The committee have been
assured by the Omaha leaguers that all
delegates who shall attend the conven
tion will be royally entertained.
Reduced rates will be secured on all
railroads in Nebraska, and, fudging by
the Interest already manifested in the
matter throughout the state, the attend
ance will be large.

Complaint having been entered at this
offloe by Joseph M. linnter against the heirs
nnd legal representatives of Charles Alex
Kadlsb, deceased for failure to comply with
law as to Timber-Culture Entry No. 3345,
dated October 8,1882, upon the NEH section
20, township 30, range V west. In Holt county,
Nebraska, with a view to the cancellation of
said entry; contestant alleging that said
Charles Alex Kadlsh und bis heirs, executors
administrators have fulled to break or cause
to be broken or plowed ten acres of land on
said tract since the date of entry, also failed
to cultivate or cause to be cultivated the
trees growing on said tract during the fourth
sixth, seventh and eight years since the date
of said entry and that there Is not now grow
ing on said tract more than fovr acres of
trees and that said failure exist at the
present time. The said parties are hereby
summoned to appear at this office on the 10th
day of April 1893, at 6 o'clock A. M., to res
pond and furnish tlstlmony concerning said
alleged failure.

object and prayer of which Is to forclose a
trust deed executed and delivered by James
and Mtrry C. MoWhorton and William and
Eliza Jane McWhorton L. W. Tulleys, trus
tee, and to plaintiff, upon the following
premises, lowlt: South half southeast quar
ter, and southeast quarter section six, and
northeast quarter section seven township
thirty-one, range nine, west sixth P. M„ to
secure the payment of a note for *2500, dated
October 1,1887. due five years from date, with
ten Interest cupons theretoattached for $87.50
each, the same being made by James and
William McWhorton In favor of Clarence
Ki Hesse, and assigned to plaintiff. Said
petition Is also filed to forclose said premises
for the non-payment hy the defendants of
the taxes-assessed against said premises for
the years ending 1888.1888, 1880 and 1801. The
same having been paid by the plaintiff in the
sum of 1172.37. That there is now duo and
unpaid the sum of 82500 on note, the sum of
854S on cupons and the sum of #172.37 on tuxes.
Therefore plaintiffs pray that a decree may
be Issued requiring said defendants to pay
the aforesaid amounts, making n total of
Ktf«i.37. with Interest, or that said premises
bu sold to pay the same. You are required
tp answer on or before the third day of
