understand, is suffering from what is
pronounced heart trouble and is quite
low. He is well advanced In years.

W. W. Seld went to Auburn
Wednesday and sold his saw mill to
the gold mining company. Marshall
Webb has sold his engine to the same
company and the outfit will be shipped
to the BlRck Hills next month,
The republican county convention
will be held at Auburn on Saturday,
March 1st, to select delegates to
the state and congressional co'nvenn
tions. Primaries will be held on Frh
day, March 18. Nemaha is entitled to
7 delegates.
John Maxwell of Menlo, Kansas
arrived in Nemaha Thursday of last
week. John informs us that he has
sold nt nnd will soon move back to
Nemaha county. He will live on the

Mrs. Rebecca P. VonFeldon, wife
of H II. Vonlieldoti. died at her
home in Auburn on Monday, Feb. 22.
Mrs. VonFeldon has been an invalid
for many years and was a great snffor
er. She was a former resident of
Nemaha. The funeral services were
held at the Presbyterian church
Wednesday ut 2 p.m. "and the body
laid at rest in the Sheridan cemetery.
C. R. Hacker and Fred Lampe of
Auburn wero in Nemaha Tuesday,
looking at W. W. Seid'n saw mill.
These gentlemen, with other Nemaha
county capitalists, including W. G.
Maxwell and Marshall Webb, are inter
ested In a gold mine in the Black Hills
and are going to buy a saw mill and
ship there to use in sawing lumber to
make sluices, etc. They have bought
Marshall Webb's engine.
