Burns, who has been working for a nursery firm at Iowa City, Iowa, returned te Nemahfc Satur day. Mrs. Clark Cary of Tabor, Iowa, has been visiting her Darents. Mr. and Mrs. John R. RuBsell, for the past two weeks. MiBS Florence Burns came up from Shubert Tuesday morning to visit her patents. We had a snow Monday and since then have been having considerable winter weather. Miss Hazel Parker visited her coun sin, Miss Nellie Sanders, from Thuisn day until Monday. J. B. Seld of Auburn visited bis sons, W. VV. and J, H. Sold, from Sats urday until Tuesday. The Midland Concert Co., one of the best concert troupes on the road, will give an entertainment at the opera house Saturday sight of this week. Geo. Shaw of Wahoo, and Mr. Wllk enson of Lincoln wero guests of H. M, Tollinger Tuesday. Mr. Shaw, who is one of the auditors of tho Edwards & Bradford Lumber Co., is nu old friend of Mr Tollinger. A party was given at tho homo of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Burson, in Aapln wall precinct, last Saturday night. A largo nurabor of young peopls wore present and all enjoyed themselves un. til a late hour. On next Tuesday night an oyster supper will be given at the Champion school house. Cake and plcklos will also bo served. A good time is insured tt all. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. II. Jones of near Howo rocoived statements from the Chicago Musical College tho first of this week giving the grade of their son Oliver, who is a student at that place. For the first term ending Nov, 21st, in the teaoherB certificate class of harmony and composition ho received the higbort grp.de issued, being 08 per cent, and fifth highest in piano don partment, being 03 per cent.
