The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Johu
Leslie died Wednesday. The baby bad
the whooping cough in the spring,
afterwards a rash broke out und later
fever developed. ?
John R. Keeling started for his home
at Shelby vilit, Ind., Tueaday, after a
few days' visit with his parents and
brother, Dr. and Mrs. W. W. Keeling
and W. F. Keeling.
The annual school election will be
held at the school house Monday night,
June 20. Two members of the school
board are to be elected, Ora J. Thorp
and II. M. Tollinger being the retiring
members.
M. S. Mclninch was Interviewing
some of our local politicians Thursday
evening. He is a candidate for the
nomination on the republican ticket
for county judge. Richard F. Neal,
the present judge, will noc be a candi
date for re-election. We understand
B. Frank Neal would also like the
nomination.
M. Rombach recently died at bis
home in Wilmington, Ohio. Mr.
Rombach was the owner of 1000 acres
of good farm land in this county,raostly

at an early day. He was 02 years old

Nemaha, has moved on the John B.
Seld farm south of town. Jim was
drowned out by the high water laBt

any more of that kind of farming.
W. W. Sanders was duly installed as
postmaater Monday morning. Mrs,
Lillian Allen (nee Minick), who for
four years has served the public so
evidently as postmistress, will be mis
tress of a home, as she will enter upou
the discharge of the duties of house
keeping in a few days.
The Rebekah lodge initiated two
members Wednesday night Mrs-D.H.
Clark and Mias Nellie Sanders. Ice
cream, cake and bananas were served
after adjournment ot lodge. Mrs,
Caldwell of Auburn, president of the
state lodge of UebekaliB, assisted in the
ceremony of initiation.

The six-year-old aon of A.B.Paris had
hie arm broken Friday of laBt week.
The other boys have been walking on
stilts, so Arthur made this little fellow
some, with the supports only four or
Ave inches high. The boy was walking
in tho barn near the hand corn sbeller
which the other boys were running,
when he stepped on a cob. This threw
him down and one arm went in the fly
wheel breaking it at the elbow. Dr.
Gaithei was called and made tho little
fellow as comfortable as possible.
