Christmas exercises wero hold at the
Methodist nnd Christian churches
Christmas evo. At tho Methodist'
oh u roll the members of tlio Sunday
school gave an exercise entitled " Koyal
Christinas," consisting of songs and
recitations by over twenty of the littlo
folks and ten of tho larger ones. Tho
music was especially good and the chil
dren had been well trained by MIsb
Lillian Mlniek, who had ehnrge of tho
entoitalnmeut. Miss Florence Mlniek
sang a lino solo. An evergreen trea in
one corner of tho room was decorated
with ornaments and burning candles.
Each member of the Sunday school re
ceived u sack of candy, nuts and pop
corn. Tho entertainment was ono of
tho very best Christmas exercises ever
given in Nemaha, and much credit is
due those taking part and Miss Lillian
Minick, who trained them.
At the Christian church there were
brief exorcises, consisting of singing
and recitations. Then the traditional
Santa Claus made his appearance, and
tho presents from a well-loaded tree
wore distributed, each member of the
school being remembored with a pres
ent, and each child In the audience was
treated to candy. Both churches were
well Oiled.
Miss Lillian Minick entertained her
Sunday school class at her home
Christmas afternoon from 4 till 0
o'clock. Fourteen of the little folks
were presont and had a delightful
t.me. Cake, orangea, nut3 and fine
home made candy were served. Each
scholar was presented with a nice card.
The scholars think they have the best
teacher in the Sunday school und the
teacher thinks she has tho best class,
and there is a general good feeling
