He came to Nemaha Tuesday afternoon, returning Thursday forenoon. Harry Beebe is assisting E. Bordwell, of Ne braska City, in invoicing the stock ef the Edwards & Bradford Co.'s yards iu this part of the state. He will be iu Nemaba a few days, as they are in voicing the stock here. Last Friday the pupils in the Nema ha school surprised the teachers, W. V. Steutevllle, Carl E. Sanders and Miss Jessie Steutevillo, by presenting each of them with handsome and appro priate Christmas presents, showln? the regard and affection of the pupihi for the teachers. Dade Seid, Ellas Adams and Laird Beaver came down from Alliance, Nebr., the first of the week te spend Christmas in Nemaba and vicinity. They expect te return in a few days, as they have good positions. Mis May Kerker gave each member of her Sunday school class a bex of de licious home-made candy Christmas eve. The scholars presented Mlsa May with a handsome Christmas card. Miss Minuie Yates, who for several months has bees stopping with her sister, Mrs. Louis Lemon, at Niahna Botna, Mo., came home Tuesday, but expects to return to Nishna today.
