A number of the Nemaha Odd Felt
lows went to Shubert Tuesday night
aud conferred the degrees on one of
the Nemaha members. They were
compelled to go to Shubert on account
of their own paraphernalia having been
burned.
George Coona, living in the west
part of Nemaha precinct, gave us a
social call Wednesday. George says
he just learned the day before that be
bad been nominated for road overseer
on the fusion ticket and started right
out to make the campaign,
A postal from Minneapolis, Minn,,
says: "Friend Sanders: Will you say
in paper that I will preach in Chris
tian church Saturday evening, the 10th
Inst., and Sunday at 11 a. m" The

for putting up their building Saturday
night, and awarded the contract to T,
0. Daugherty, of Auburn, who is to
put up a brick building, 24x60 foet.two
stories high, for $2441. This includes
the foundation. It ia oxpecttd work

building will be completed iu sixty
days.

On Sunday evening, in the opera
house, Bev. D. B. Lake will hold a
memorial service in honor of our mar
tyr president, William McKinloy, to
which everybody is invited.
Monday evening, at the Methodist
church, Ilev. Lakewill tell some of his
experiences at the Buffalo exposition'
the Rainbow City. Admission to the
lecture, 15 cents; children 10 cents.
