account of high water, but pot to Tar

teams got there just before midnight.

Tho Odd Fellows of Nemaha and
vicinity observed the decoration day of
the order in a belitting manner last
Sunday. The procession was formed
at the Odd Fellows hall and was lead
by Marshall Webb carrying the tlag at
half mast and C. P. Barker with drawn
sword. Then came the Shubert band,
the Odd Fellows, marching three
abreast, and a long procession of cars
riages and buggies. The graves of tho
following deceased Odd Fellows were
decorated: Peter Ault, A.H, Scovill,
Jonas Hacker, John F. Titus, Jamos
A. Titus, J. II. Drain, Samuel Brimble,

Tho horses nnd mules in tho pasture
northeast of town-became gieatly ex
cited last Sunday afternoon while the
procession was going through the
pasture on the way to the cemotery.
They ran around the teams und once
ran through the procession, scaring the
horses And csme near cuusing several
accidents. Finally all the horses, mules
and colls in the pasture got out and
Btarted west, but were turned back
after going some distanco and turned
into the pasture again.

man citizen of New Lebanon, Ohio, is

and Mrs. John F. Fbnother, of Aupln
wall, Neb., died Thursday, June 20th,
1001, at 10:02 a. m. Clarence hurt his

dist church in Nemaha Friday afters
noon. Rev. A. V. Wilson preached
tho sermon.
