the county funds again this week. A
low veeks ago the county treasurer
advertised for bids for tho funds. Tho
Peru bank offored five per cent for
$1,000 to 40.000. The Carson National
and First National bunks of Auburn,
and tho banks at Johnson, Brock and
Julian put in bids of three per cent for
virions sums. Tho treasurer refused
to suhmit the thre.o per cent bids to
the commissioners, and tho Peru bank
was awarded the amount asked for.
