Hunters Are looking Forward To Some Good Shooting--'
Ducks Are Cominfc In Now Some
Kinds Nested Here.
Getting here just the same
Tho open season on ducks, geese and waterfowl begins next Saturday
morning. It will last until January 1st. Hunters are now getting out
their shooting paraplianalla and looking over needs. Tho sharp morning
air Is sotting them on to prepare for tho fall sport. Some of tho ponds arc
now covered with ducks. Teal, tho green wings, aro now abundant and
mallards aro to be found on some of tho moro favored places. With the
colder weather, tho pin tail, shoveller, '
canvas back, bluo wing and cinnamon
teal, bufflo head, old squaw, widgeon
and other rarer varieties will come
from their breeding places in tho
north', and tarry hero for a short time
on their way south. A licenso is nec
essary to hunt any game and will
cost tho resident one dollar and tho
non-resident ten dollars. Local dealers
have put in largo stocks of guus, am
munition and other necessities and
aro prepared to make good prices.

Lincoln county Hhojwd up well at the stato fair last week. Members
of tho committeo, who returned hero yesterday told ot winning 172 prizes
on agricultural products of different kinds. Tho county display took third
place among tho other counties. Thoproducls included nil kinds of grains
and grasses, field and garden vegetables hay, potatoes, fruits, and other
