A meeting was held here Wednes
day evening of last week in an effort
to straighten out tho transmission line
tangle. Those present were tho Vil
lage Board, Mr. Byron of Gothenburg,
and a representative of the Henning
Bon Engineering Company of Omaha.
No definite action was taken at the
meeting last week, but another meeting
Is to be held Thursday evening of this
week, when it is hoped to have a more
thou'Uf -Ii understanding with the con
structlon company. Tho Henningson'
Company agrees to build the un0

five days if they get tho new contract.

LIGHTNING
During tho severo electrical storm
last Saturday evening, lightning
struck the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Province in Hersiiey. xvirs.
-Province was working over the
kitchen range and an electric light
bulb was almost directly over her
head. Tho bolt of lightning followed
the light wire down and tho shock
was so strong that Mrs. Province
was rendered unconscious for almost
an hour. The glass from tho light
bulb was powdered and Mrs. Prov
ince's hair was filled with It.
At the present time she Is getting
along nicely, and her friends hope
she will be all right in a short time.
