Red Cross Gives $310,000 to Aid 'Clean-Up' Drive An appropriation of $310,000 (for Ited Cross work In connection wlth'the "clean-up" campaign Instituted by tho Government to bring tho claims of -all disabled service men who are entitled to Federal aid before the proper gov ernment bureau for action, hns been made by tho American Red Cross. The Executive Committee of tho American lied Cross in making the appropriation authorized the approprl aUon of 185,000 of this sum to the American Legion to defray tho ex pense of the Legion representatives asiigncd to tho various districts of the Veterans Bureau. The remainder of the appropriation wu authorized for apportionment among tho several Divisions of the lied Cross for carrying on that part of the "clean-up" work that falls di rectly upon the Red Cross organization.
