By doing this he takes advantage of what is known as "Station-to-Station" service and thus obtains a lower r:te. If ho had asked for Mrs. Jones or any other designated person, he would have used what is called "Person-to-Person" service, for which the rate is higher. "Station-to-Station" service is provided at a considerably lower rate than "Person-to-Persc i" service because wo do not have to locate a certain person in order to complete tho call. IS YOUR MONEY SAFELY INVESTED? First mortgage loans for years past havo proved to bo about the i safest investment ono could possess, and during tho present financial conditions this fact is again evident. Tho reason for this Is duo to tho fact that loan companies making and disposing of first mortgages, loan a very small per cent of tho value of tho property, usually one fourth to one-half of a conservative value, and thero must bo an extrem ely Inrge shrinkage in tho value of tho property before tho mortgngo is affected. Many stocks in good companies and various securities aro soiling today nt a greatly reduced price, whllo a good first mortgago secured by real estate has not depreciated. Wo can offer such securities for money invostod with us to reallzo you 6 to 7 per cent Intorcst.
