During tho recent successful Coun
ty Fair tho North Platto boy scouta
conducted two concession stands nt
the Fair Grounds. , They wore nil
hand bright and early each day and
some of them stayed at tho stands
all night. But tho weather was too
cool most of the time for cold drinks
and It was too worm for hot drinks
and tho crowd was too sninll to glvo
them any groat uinount of business.
As a result, thoy only sold about ono
thlrd tho amount thoy did last year
and tho cxponso was about tho sanvj.
But the boys aro not disheartened and
aro ready to go at something else.
Thoy aro still doing a good turn dally.
At one tlmo thoy wore callod Into
sorvlco at tho Fair Grounds when a
flro was Btarted which for a time
threatened to burn tho grand stand.
Tho scouts took n very nctlvo part In
putting out the blaze.
