Monday, March 28th is tho dato se lected for tho membership campaign o tho Lincoln County Farm Bureau. On that dato teams will start out to cover tho entire County and ask every larmer to Jolnr On that dato meet ings will bo hold nt North Platte, Wallace and Sutherland. On Tuesday Ilorshoy and Maxwell will havo moot tags. Evory precinct in tho county will bo organized and committees will wait on every ranchman and farmer in $ each precinct and present merits of the Farm Bureau. A. S. Grogg is tho Captain o tho Membership Commit tee. County Agent Kollogg and Pub licity Director "Wilson aro making tho preliminary arrangements. A. J. Young of Kansas and Elmer Youngs of Dawson County will bo tho main stpeakcrs. A campaign ot education Is to prccced tho drive. Every avail able method of reaching tho farmors is to bo used. Over thrco million far users in this country have already joined tho Farm Bureaus and now tho matter Is being brought to Lincoln County, About half of the counties in this state havo been covered in mem bership campaigns and tho response ! nas beon remarkable. The Farm Bureau is an organiza tion, backed by tho United States gov ernment with a largo appropriatlom by tho stato of Nebraska by a largo appropriation and by Lincoln County Board of County Commissioners with an appropriation. There Is nothing about it that can bo called political. It is independent from every other farmer's organization but works With all of them. It is managed by farmors who employ experts to carry out their wishes. It Is an honest and reasonable ittcmpt of tho farmors of this country 'o solvo tho many problems that con" '-ont them and do It in the manner hich has proved so successful with ( ipltnl and labor by organizing. The Nebraska Wcsleyan Glee Club under the direction of Prof. Douglas Powell of University Place will enter tain nt nn enjoyable and varied pro gramme at tho Franklin Auditorium tomorrow evening. The programme will consist of Glee Club numbers, vocal and Instrumental solos, vocal and instrumental quartets and college specialties. Tlio United States govorment is back of the Lincoln County Farm j Bureau to tho extent that it 1ms given permlsfclon to the Executive Board to make tho Post OfTlce ibulldlng its head quarters. It is probable that the Coun ty Agent will move Into tho Fedoral building this week as thoro Is a moot ing of tho Executive Board called for Friday. George Scott, a carpenter, living in tho south part of tho city died Sat urday of cancer after a lingering Ill ness.
