where. Our vlllu Is charming, stands
In a little wood of eucalyptus trees,
with a big garden, bulcoulcs, terraces
and mnrble steps, large, high rooms
and lovely views on all sides, Mme.
Wnddlngton writes from Alglera to
Scrlbncr's. It Is quite In the coun
try, live or six kilometers' from Al
giers, very high up In tho hills. Very
few people live In the town ami the
whole hillside Is studded with villas.
Moorish almost all, dazzling white, flat
roofs and narrow windows. Quite at
tho top, where wo are, there aro some

houses. I am writing at my window,
which gives on n terrace, from which
there la a divine view of the sea and

The drawing-room is a delightful
