extensions of city delivery In tho west
and south parts of tho jlty. Possibly
two blocks will bo added to tho city
carrier territory on W03t Fourth,
Fifth and Sixth streets, although .no
final decisions havo yet been an

expected to do away with overtime
on tho part of any of tho clerks and
carriers and get tho sorvlco down to

NEW FIRE TRUCK ARRIVES AND
IS GIVEN TEST THIS WEEK.
Tho now flro truck ordered last fall
by tho city council has arrived and
tho factory representative came Sat
urday and put It In shapo. It is
larger than tho truck formerly used
horo and much irtoro powerful. Tho
motor is rated at over one hundred
horsepower and Is tho most power
ful motor vehicle In this part of tho
country; In a tost last week It forced
water out of a ono inch hose with a.
iressure of 140 lb. to the square inch.
The "normal pressure of tho water
system is seldom ovor C5 pounds at

enjoyed hero before.'
August Molzer, ( violinist, and Mr.
Beutel, pianist, assisted by Mr. Paul
Harrington, will appear in recital at
the Presbyterian church on Friday
evening, February 11th.
