INTERESTING EXERCISES AT THE
LINCOLN SCHOOL WEDNESDAY
O. E. Elder was the principal speak
er at the December meeting of tho Lin
coln School Parent-Teacher Associa
tion Wednesday evening. As presi
dent of tho Board of Education he
spoko with authority of tho work of
the schools and told something of the
needs of the future. Several selec
tions were rendered by tho High
School band and pupils of the three
upper grades gave a Christmas play.
Pop com and candy was sold by the
pupils, tho proceeds to go toward pay
ing for curtains for tho two cottage
schools on tho Lincoln School campus.
About 150 ndults were present
An accident occurred Wednesday
on West Ninth Street when a delivery
truck struck tho two Thomas children
ago eight and six years. Tho children
woro crossing tho street hauling a
wagon, tho wagon being splintered by
tho auto Tho children were parried
to their homo and it was found that
