has had an annual show and exhibi
tion held by the oldest poultry organ
ization In America, and for over 25

stitution by act of stato legislation.
How few people of our stato have
over realized this fact and know that
tho poultry resources of our stato is
one of tho greatest resources wo have,
amounting last year to over sixty mil
lion dollars.

lem of increasing this resource know,

When the war broke out- Raymond
Henderson, sou of J. W. Hondenon, or
this city, applied for enlistmont in the
United Staton army but was rejectod.
He was not satisfied so he appllod tt
tho English army and was accepted
nnd after preliminary training he wrm
taken to the Atlantic seaboard ami
sailed for England. He never laudod
for ho whs reported as drowned at sett.
Raymond attended the North I' ktu
schools and will be remembered by
many of his classmates. This week
his father received' a beautiful paroh
inent. bearing the coal of arms of the
ISugliBh government and these wordi:
"Ho whom this school commemorates
was numbered among those who, at
the call of king and country, loft all
that was dear to thorn, endured hnrd
noss, facod danger, and finally passed
out of tho sight of men by the path of
