ORIAL FOUNTAIN IN MEMO RIAL PAItK. l The War Mothers of this City havo decided to build a Memorial Foun tain, to commemorate the sacrifice of tho American boys in tho Great War. They will locato this memorial on the Lincoln Highway in Memorial Park better known as. the East End 203 w Sixth, Thursday morning, Nov. 2nth and interment will 'be in North p- James 11. Babbitt died, at his home at 203 W. Sixth St., Sunday after noon at 5 o'clock. Ho worked as usual until ono week ago when ho contracted pneumonia and could not recover. James II. Babbitt was born at Lewlsburg, Va., Oct. 8. 1843 and died at North Platte, Neb., Nov. 21, 1920. He camo to III , In tho early days and at Carlylo ho married Miss Sophia Marsh, Nov. 13, 18GC. Ho camo to North Platte In 1868 and worked con tinuously for tho Union Paclfls for 45 years. He was pensioned In 1U13. A year ago ho went to work for tho Pacific Fruit Express Co. and was employed there until his sickness. Mr. Babbitt Is survived by his wife and six children. Tho children aro Miss Eunice Babbitt of Lincoln, Albert Babbitt of Los Angeles, -James Babbitt Edward Babbitt, Mrs. Minnie Farmer and Mrs. Jessie Mathlcson. Ho also leaves ono brothor, F. N.
