In electing a man to a public office
wo are not supposed to bo selecting
a model husband, an ideal father, a
good son-in-law or paying any at

aro selecting a person to fill tho of

would bo somo chargo against him?
Somewhere thero must bo a higher

TO THE VOTERS OF LINCOLN
COUNTY
A word concerning my Candidacy
for Representative from Lincoln
County to tho Stato Legislature.
Born in Lincoln County, Nebraska,
I have spent tho greater portion of
my lifo horo. Being tho son of tho
first County Judgo of this County I
was brought up in a political atmos
phere and early learned to bend my
efforts in tho upbuilding 'of Wostorn
Nebraska.
During my long years of resldenco
I have seen Lincoln County grow
from almost a boundless waste to ono
of tho most prosperous Counties in
tho Stato and I realizo fully that such
was accomplished only by big men
doing big things In a big way. Theso
men wero my personal friends and
by close association with them and
study of them I fool that I learned
from them and I feol that I am qual
ified to carry on tho work they so ably
begun.
I am a Progressive Democrat in
politics, In lifo a laborer, who has
learned to toll with his hands. This
is tho first timo I havo ovor sought
offico.
I havo no ax to grind I havo
naught but words of pralso for my
opponents but I feol that of tho three
candidates for tho office that I am
tho best qualified for I know that I
am in a position to sorvo all of tho
peoplo all of tho timo.
Your voto will bo appreciated.
Yours truly,
CLAUDE DELANBV.
