BLOCK HOMlfEitOM MARKET.
II. I. Block returned this week from
his regular trip to the eastern mar-
kots. He was a little later this year
than usual and says he found it nn
ndvantago as ho got better prices
than were offered earlier.
Mr. Block found factory prices
about the same as heretofore with a
tendency to declino in some linpg duo
to tho break in the silk market which
has been refloated to some extent In
all ready made wear. With this ten
dency ho also found that speculators
and jobbers were anxious to unloaa
their surplus and regular llnes.,and
with this condition prevailing ho wat
able to buy his fall stock at prices
considerable lower than ho had ex
pected. This saving will be passed on
to his customers and enable them to
buy fall merchandise at hotter figures
than can bo secured in 'Omaha or
Denver. Tho offerings this year in
ready-to-wear aro very attractive and
Mr. Block says ho has purchased ono
of the best lines ho lias erer had.
