Sunday proved to be another "Red
letter day" to the Luthoran congreg
ation. It came as a climnx to a week
of great things. A splendid chiss of
twenty-one young people wore receiv
ed into the church by the solemn rite
of confirmation. It was truly Im
pressive sight to see those young
people come to the altar In public con
fession of their faith and afterwards
receivo tho Sacrament of tho Holy
Communion. The Sacrament of Bap
tism was administered to eight in
fants. Thero was also a class of four
teen adults received into t,ho church,
innklng thirty-five for tho day.
Tlio Sacrament of the Holy Com
munion was administered at both tho
morning and evening services, about
200 partaking thereof.
At tho evening service the pnstor
preached the pre-Lonten messago on
"Tho Blessed Season of Lent." Tho
choir sang "God so Loved the World"
by Ambrose.
At both services tho Lenten Calcn-
dors wero distributed announcing
three series of special messages Sun
day morning and evening and Wednes
day nights. Tho themo for tho six
Wednesday night services is "Prayer"
and tho first will bo delivered tomor
