Another thing that was taken under consideration was tho nmost entire Ignoring of tho curfew lnws of the city and investigation shows that thoro nro a lot of boys and girls that are al lowed to run tho streets nnd public places nt almost all hours of the night. Wo have had enses in our criminal court the last few months that prove this practlco to bo very dangerous, and that, too, Is largely due to slackness with which parents look aftor their children. Thoro were cases in which young girls of fifteen wero allowed to bo out with young mon a great deal older than themselves till two or threo o'clock in tho morning with tho parents exercising no concern what ever. If tho parent falls to do their duty by tho children whnt chanco oa earth has tho child got. Tho destiny of tho avcrngo child Is marked out in tho homo life, bo let tho father and mother beware. Whon the curfew sounds all children around tho ages of 12 to 17 ought to bo at homo in place of on tho streets unless they arc accompanied by their parents or have a mighty good excuse.
