Friends and Brethren: North Platte, Nebr., Aug. 9th, 1919.
The Federated Council of the Churches in America has designated Sunday, August
31st, as LABOR SUNDAY, which is fitting and proper. In view of the above fact, it is
my purpose to hold a special service that evening at eight o'clock in the Episcopal
Church. To this service all members of Trades and Labor Unions and all workmen
are most cordially invited. Special Music has been arranged for, (Miss Irma Huffman
having promised to sing), and everything will be done to make the service worth while.

Base Ball parade leaving court house at 2: 30 p. m., led by band, base ball teams and
fans to fair grounds where a fast game is assured, as both teams have strengthened
for this game. Smokey Nokes, who won for us from Scotts Bluff, will be on the mound
for North Platte. r
