Cramer for a consideration of twenty

which he now resides and will move,

Ask Merchants to Close on Labor Day.
We asked the Chamber of Commerce
to have a committee wait on the Merchants
two weeks ago so now we respectfully ask
of the Merchants to close their stores from
10 a. m. for balance of Day. All members
of twenty-one organizations believe in one
and all observing the National Labor Holi
day and do not do their shopping on Labor
Day.

Union Pnclflc have had strong or
ganlzatlons In North Platto for many
years, It Is only, within tho past year
or so that other mechanics and la
borers havo been unionized, nnd It
was only last spring that tho North
Platto Contral Labor Union, the "clear
ing houso" of all tho unions was cre
ated. As to the strength-of union la-,
bor In North Platto It Is only necos-
sary to state that twenty-ono distinct
unions and brotherhoods are elthor
members of, or nffillated with, tho
Central Labor Union, and that about
ninety per cent of the wngo earners
In North Platte nro Included In those
brothorhoods cr Unions, making this
city one of the most strongly union
lzed towns In the west.
