Two hundred and fory four of theso have enlisted lji various branches of tho service, either liu dlvldually or as members of Company E, and ono hundred and fifty six rop resent tho mon who have beon drafted, Wo consider this a flno showing foi Lincoln county, tho onlistments oa pecially proving the patriotism of our young men. It was in bohalf of theso 400 young men that wo so much desired Lincoln county to go over tho top in tho bond campaigns and tho wnr-savlngs . cam paign; wo wanted to give theso boys tangible evidence that wo are standing bohind them with our money, and that if wo went ovor tlid top It was ovldonce that thoro is patriotism bohind our cash. Wo have demonstrated to tho boys that wo aro not slackers, that w aro doing service to tho government as nila they, but in a much loss sacri ficing degroo. Even if wo do our best and our utmost wo stay-at-homc3 can never equal tho sacrifices suffered by tho boys who go to tho trenches. :;o:: Hcrslioy Ladles are Enthusiastic.
