    Glasses are a
simple remedy
Eyes are lenses. By muscular power we
change the shape slightly. Doing so
focuses light rays so that we see clearly
near and far objects.
Slidht defects in the shane of the eye
makes the muscles work extra,, hard to
focus light strain them, causing head
ache and other distress.
A lense of glass will refract the light
so the muscles won't have to work so
hard, thereby ending strain.
Clinton's optometrist is expert in
fitting glasses to end eye strain.
Consult him about your eyes.

The price of hides, a local dealer
said yesterday, is now lower than it
has been since 1907. Hides havo been
dropping steadily since last fall, and
dealers caught with heavy stocks have
lost money. This denier mentioned in
dependent hide men, whose losses from
falling prices havo reached as high as
$50,000. The shutting off of the foreign
market has caused an over-supply of
hides. "Why then," the dealer was
asked, "aro wo still paying double
prices of shoes and harness?" "I've
decided that I don't know anything
about even my own business," ho an
swered, "so I oughtn't try to explain
the leather or shoe business."
