In the six months, May to October,

18 por cent, and 751,000 more car
loads of bituminous and lignite coal
than in tho samo six months of 191G,
also an incrcaso of :8 per cent.
A total of 110,000 carloads of frolght
havo had to bo haulod to tho national
army and national guard camps; and
