be tilled more promptly nnd with less danger of keys getting Into the hands
of those not entitled to them.
From a small room equipped with one drill press nnd om stamping press
nnd employing a half dozen workmen, the shop has grown to n complete fac
tory. It Is equipped with tools and machinery, Including n tool and
die department, where ull tools, dies, Jigs, etc., necessary for tho
converting of sheet steel and brass and other material Into locks
and keys nnd other attachments are made; n pressroom with 14
stamping presses, a lock finishing nnd assembling room, a miscellaneous
room, where cord fasteners are assembled nnd other equipment mnde, also
where hundreds of postal scales' are repaired and made us good or better
than new each year; a tinning plant, where all mall-bag attachments aro
tinned to prevent rusting.
