man, pleaded, guilty to stoallng a mule
from William Wilson, Ills brother-in-law,
who resides near Suthorland.

and placed In tho North Side barn.
It wan kept thoro by McCord until
Thursday of last week wlion It wae
sold to Mamfcco Fowler, of Grand
Island, for ono hundred dollars. Mr.
Wilson for- a week or more was In
clined to bollevo that tho mule had
brokon out of tho barn and estrayed.

rope which dragged In tho snow. Tho
dragging of the ropo, howevor, was
but a ruso onrployed by McCord to
throw off suspicion that tho animal
had been stolen.
Immediately following tho sale the

and Sheriff Salisbury was notified, and
after a short hunt for McComb ho was
found, placed undor arrest and ar
raigned in court.
