Mrs. Frank McDonough and boii, of Omaha, w.ho have beon visiting rela tives hero for ton days, will return homo tomorrow. Georgo and Tom Griffiths, of Dick ens, transacted business in town yes terday. Tom, who was so badly burn ed in the prairie fire last March, is gradually recovering, and Is nqw able to walk short distances with the aid of crutches.' Tho re mains will be 'taken to Gothonburg for burial. llerninn Erb' lifes Suddenly Herman Brb an employe of the local U. P. machine shops died very sud denly Sunday afternoon at his rooma in tho Huxoll home in the Fourth ward. Mr. Erb had been affected with kidney troublo for some time but his condition was not considered serious and Sun day morning hn Was in his usuul health, spent an hour or inoro in sev eral of the buslnes houses, and at noon was reading on tho porch. Becoming suddenly 111 a physician was called, who stated that the end was near, and Bhortly after Mr. Erb died. He wa3 about forty-flvo years Of age and had been,, employed hero for several yearr. Pending word from relatives no funor al arrangements have been made. He was a membor of tho Masonic fratern Ity and tile L. O. O. M. lodge.
