Miss Bessie Crandell who spent last week in Lexington, returned home Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilson and chil dren left Tuesday evening for Paxton to visit relatives. Robert Sailor returned Tuesday ev ening fromElm Creek where he visited relatives last week. Mr. and Mrs. Vigo Christensen ex pect to move into their home on South Maple, in the near future. Mrs. Rose Garrison has accepted a position in the Gem candy kitchen, commencing work Wednesday Miss Ada Toole returned Tuesday evening from Kearney where she spent a week with the home folks. Miss Beryl Hahn returned Tuesday from Lincoln where she visited the home folks the past ten days. Mrs. Philfp Fent and children, of Council Bluffs, who were guests of her mother Mrs. Mary Baker, left Tuesday for their home. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Lowe, Sr., left Tuesday mornng for Rawlins to make an extended visit with their daughter, Mrs. Beecher Parker. Mrs. Wm. Blood, of Salt Lake, for merly of this city, arrived here Tues day afternoon to visit her brother, Mose McFarland and family for a few days. Arthur Lonam, of Lincoln, returned home Tuesday afternoon after spend ing a week witli his aunt, Mrs. S. R. Carney, and other relatives in North Platte. Len is now deep in politics, at the recent election he was elected a mem ber of the Wallace town board. A. T. Yarter, who runs tho liquor refreshment booth at Brady, was In town Tuesday making arrangements to file his application for license to operate for another year. He was ac companied by his attorney Bob Beatty, of the same town. Lincoln county is asking for bids on about fifty-five acres of land at Wallace which were formerly town lots and wlhch the county Inherited5 through non-payment of taxes for a long period of years. Well Known Alliance Man Will Make Strong Delegate to National Democratic Convention. Charles H. Tulloy of Alliance is one of the strong candidates for delegate to the national democratic conven tion from tho Sixth Congressional district of Nebraska. Mr. Tully has been identified with tho Democratic party in Nebraska for many years, nnd consented to allow his name to be bo placed on the Democratic primary ballot after being urged by his many friends throughout the district. Mr. Tully is one of the leading stockmen of tho stato and has done much for tho development of the western country. Ho is a representa tive Democrat and a strong support er of President Wilson. Tho remains of the lato Frank Ken nedy, of Llsco, who died in Onmhn Tuesday, following an operation for gall stones, arrived hero Wednesday morning and iwcro taken to Llsco on tho branch train. Tho deceased was a young man In tho early twenties and a prosperous farmer nt Llsco. In 1913 ho was marred to Mlso Frances Mon ahan formerly of this city who with one child survives him. Several rela tives from this city attended the fun eral. Postmaster P. II. McEvoy who has been 111 for past few weeks, was re moved to tho City hospital Monday.
