CHALLENGE
Wc challenge the llendy-Ogier Auto Co. to show the public on Wednesday, April
12th, beginning at 2:30 P. M; that the Dodge Bros, car which they sell to the public can
perform in more ways than one to the following tests:
1st 150 yards against time from standing start which will show the quick get-away
so much desired by the enthusiastic owner.
2nd300 yards slowest time on high gear, a performance greatly demanded by the
exacting buyer who has previously owned an automobile.
3d To take Ave passengers including driver over Thoeocckc hill against time,
which will show the power, speed and hill-climbing ability on the higher gears. (North
Platte to Ilyannis, a distance of 118 miles through the sandhills, Tuesday, April 4th, With
out using low gear, being performed by a Buick carrying three passengers over a road
never before traveled by the driver, should prove that the low gear need be seldom used.)
Any automobile owner objects to needless gear changing.
4th One gallon gasoline economy test, which in the face of high price of gasoline
will prove which car will be thecheapest to own and operate.
In this contest wc will use any 1916 Buick Light Six owned in North Platte or one
out of stock to prove our ability to show the public that nowhere can you get greater value
than wc sell in the Buick, and we will permit the llendy-Ogier Auto Co. to do the same.
The cars to be used to be picked by judges not earlier than 10 a. m. Wednesday, April 12.
Same grade ol gasoline to be used in both cars. ,
