ty-six enrs of hogs, fourteen of wheat,
sovon of horsos, seventeen of alfalfa
meal, and othed miscellaneous pro
ducts to the numbor of sixteen cars,
making the total shipments 1,582 cars
In the hay shipments Hcrshoy stood
tenth in the United States.
Practically all theso shipments were
produced within a territory not ex
ceeding twelve miles squaro, and most
of It within a radius of five miles of
Ilorshey.

Notice to Paving Contractor.
Notice is hereby given that the
mayor and council of the city of North
Platte, Nebraska, will receive bids for
pavingt and curbing where necessary,
Paving District No. 1, in said city
according to plans and specifications
adopted and now on file in the otfico of
the city clerk of said city.
Said bids to cover paving of tho
following described materials, to-wit:
Vitrified brick block, vertica' fibre
brick, sheet asphalt and concrete.
The city engneer's estimate on the
cost of paving -said district, contain
ing 45,000 square yards, is as follows:
Vitrified brick block $2.45 per square
yard.
Vertical fibre brick $2.25 per square
yard.
Sheet asphalt $2.15 per squaro yard.
Concrete $2.00 per square yard.
Bids must bo on file with the city
clerk on or before two o'clock p. m.
of Friday, April 14th, 1916. at which
time tho bids, will bo opened. They
must be on the proposals In tho spec
ifications furnished by uio city clerk
and accompanied by a certified check
for an amount equal to three per cent
of the bid made.
Said specifications furnished upon
application to tho city clork.
The mayor and council reserve the
right to reject any and all bids.
