Jessup, government engineer, who Is making an investigation of the proposed dralnago ditch which would extend from the OTallon bluff to a point cast of this city, spent Saturday In town. Mr. Jessup is soon to launch a campaign of education in behalf of tlio ditch, and was hero to learn the sentiment of some of our citizens. It Is proposed through this 'ditch to take caro of the Hood waters which llow In to the city from the west nearly every year. North Platto is therefore Inter ested In the ditch and would neces sarily need pay for tlio benefit re ceived.
