of tho, 500 Club was hold Tuesday ev
ening at the Ray C. Langford''lTome,
with Mrs. Lnngford nnd Mrs. Harry
Dixon as the hostesses. Sickness and
absence kept several members from
attending and only six tables were
placed for tho games. Room decora
tions were yellow chrysanthemums
and baskets of verbenas. At the close
of tho games a very enjoyable two
course lunch was served.
Tho funeral services of tho lato
Charles Llerk, Sr., were held at the
Lutheran church Tuesdny nfternoon.
Many friends and tho I. O. O. F. and
M. W. A., of which the deceased was a
member, attended.. Rev. Harman de
liered an Impresslvo sermon and the
choir rendered appropriate music.
Tno lloral olterings wore very beau
tlful and showed tho high esteem In
which tho deceased was held. Inter
ment was mado inthe North Platto cem
etery and tho remains accompanied
to their last resting place by n large
concourso of sorrowing friends. The
