Will Sell Revenue Slumps.
Postmaster Davis has been author
ized to keep and sell revenue stamps !
at tho postoffice, this authorization
having been received Saturday after
Mr. Davis had made two or three re-1
quests. In a letter from the trensury
department, from which the stamps
aro issued, it is stated that the North
Platto office is tho first office in tho
sta'to to be given the priviege of sell
ing revenue stamps. Mr. Davis re-1
quested tho right to sell theso stamps
as an accommodation to tho public,
as frequently requests wero made
at the postoffice for them nf'tor tho
banks had closed for tho day.

spent Sunday in Paxton and were de

towns in wes'tern Nebraska, is
growing, the latest addition in the
buiding lino being a hotel erected by
P. C. Meyer at nqftsjL-of $14,000. Mer
chants report trade--as good, and the
stores Carry big stocks. The town has
the. air of prosperity.
With the exception, of about five
miles from trio "Stone ranch" to the
P. C. Meyers rnifclf-the road was In
excellent condition. The bad road
stated above Is being replaced by a
newly graded road upon which W. D.
Waldo .is-, now working. When this
piece of road is in shape tho Lin
coln Highway from North Platlte to
Oganlla will bo fine.
