Miss Ruth Carroll has resigned her position as assistant in the Brooks photograph gallery. She Is suc ceeded by Miss Ruth Loan, a sister of Mrs. Brooks, who recently enme here from Gothenburg. Brinks, Chas. Stlt zcr, Mrs. Martin, of Sutherland; Rev. Do Loo of Paxton; Rev. Grilllth of Maxwell, Rev. Johnson of Hershoy; 0. 0. Wood, Rev. J. L. Barton, C. W. McGrcw nnd J. II. Edmlsten of North Platte and W. H. Klmberly anil Miss Brown of Lincoln. The subjects wore ably discussed, nnd the delegates en joyed every minute. Thero (wcre twenty-two schools represented with" an average of 123 In attendance at each session. Tho following olllcers were elected for next year: President, J. II. Ed mlsten, North Platte; vice president, 0. II. Eyerly, Hershey; Bert M. Rey nolds Nortli Platte, secretary and treasurer. Maxwell was chosen as the place of the convention next year. Tho following resolution was unan imously adopted by the convention: "Resolved, That we extend to the citizens of Hershey our sincere thanks for the splendid entertainment fur nished the delegates, to the M. E. church for ho use of their building, and to Mr. Kimberly nnd Miss Brown for the encouragement and vision they have brought us as Sunday school workers." November 7th has been designated by tho state olllcers as Go to Sunday School Day In Nebraska and they ask the co-operation of every Sunday school in the state. The Lincoln Highwny moving pic ture party will arrive in North Platto about ten o'clock Ws forenoon the hour The Tribune goes to press. Sev eral cars loaded with enthusiasts left at 5:30 this morning to meet the party at Gothenburg, and a dozen or more cars will assemble at the state farm at half past nine o clock to receive tho party and escort them into town. National Consul II. C. Ostermnn of tho Lincoln Highway heads the party which consists of four cars and twolvo operators and assistants. Several views of .the experimental farm will bo taken, and a number of tho city, including a full length view of Dewey, which it is 'aimed to have crowded wth cars. Keep Away the Strain. Assisting in .serving were the Misses Dorothy I Human, Janet McDonald, Alma Mor rill and Nanine Iddings. Charles Meyers, an Insurance so licitor for n new company headed by Silas R. Dnrton was shot and in stantly killed at Grand Island tho latter part of last week by Ed Kinney, a carpenter, who had declared that he would kill Meyers for calling him un printable names and accusing him of giving liquor to small boys. Meyers will be remembered by many local people, having frequently visited hero tor a week or more at a time solicit- ins members for the A. O, U. W. lodge when he was a state deputy for that order. He is survived by a wife. A marriage license was insued Fri day to Wilhelm T. Rurklund of Suth erland and Miss Darleno Purdy of this city.
