The city council mot last wcok for
tho purpose of making tho ostlmato
on tho fundsTIiat will bo needed for
carrying on tho city business next
year. Tho finance commlttoo sub

by tho body. Tho estimate of tho
amount needed to run the city and
pay bonded Indebtedness Is ?59,4G0.
Of this amount only $GO0 is to apply
on tho bridgo bonds, while $5,000 is
naked to pay on tho water bonds and
$1,350 for the sewor bonds.
Tho council also took action re
garding tho sower from tho Union

tho causeof some complaint from res

to servo notlco on tho company to dis

This Is In nccordanco with tho con
tract which made provision for dis
connecting tho sower In caso it did
not work satisfactorily. In tho mean
, time, tho company will experiment
with a method o filtering tho water
and using it again In thoir boilorB.

whlcluwo'uld eradicate tho present dif
ficulty to some extent.
