Ward, who formerly lived in tho fourth wurd, caused much worry and tholr parents thought them lost. Mr. Ward moved his resldenco from tho north sldo to tho south part of the city Tuesday and riftcr ho had moved ho sent the two little girls, aged 11 and 13, back to tho old homo after somo chickens. It got dark before tho little girls returned and they de cided to remain all night at the home of n neighbor Instead of going homo. When night' caino on and tho Httlo girls did not return Mr. and Mrs. Ward Instigated a search for them 'and they wont to tho old homo. Fall ing to find themt hero they began a search among tho neighbors and woro Informed by several that tho Httlo girls had boon seen early In the even ing. Ono of thes wltchmon also stat ed that ho had scon them crossing tho tracks. Tho officers were then notified and tho Union Pacific de tectives were also sent out on tho search. Tho scoured tho town and tho country nround until early morn ing without finding any-trnco of them. About throo o'clock Wednesday morning ono of the switchmen told Olllcor Combos that tho girls had told him thoy would stay with ono of the neighbors and he located them about four o'clock after Inquiring of sovoral. Thoy met at the church In the morning and left about nine o'clock In a hay rack. They went about flvo miles west of tho city on tho north sido of tho north river whero thoy pitched their camp for tho day In a grovo on tho river bank.
