Auto and Team Collide.
The delivery team of tho North Side
grocery store was badly cut up and
bruised Thursday afternoon when they
wor run down by Mrs. W. F. Hupfer.
Th accidont occurred on West Ninth
street. Mrs. Hupfer was driving on
the right side of tho street and the
delivery wagon on the other side. Just
before they met, Mrs, Hupfer evidently
lost control of tins car as it shot across
the street and ran head into the mules
on the delivery wngon. The mulos
wore thrown to the ground and over on
the sidewalk. One of them was severely
cut in the breast and it required several
stitches to close tho wound. Its hind
logs were also badly bruised. Tho other
was not so badly hurt but neither of
them will be oblc to be worked,

Hog Shipments out of County
For the year ended May 31, 1914 two
hundred and sixty-three cars of hogs
were shipped out of Lincoln county
from stations along the Union Pacific.
Horshoy led with sixty cars, North
Platte iifty-seven, Brady Island fifty,
Sutherland forty-six. laxwoll forty
five and Birdwood five. The number
shipped from stations in the south part
of the county could not bo learned, but
the number was probably nearly as
great as from Union Pncific stations,
and a considerable number of Lincoln
county hogs were also shipped from
Stapleton. A conservative estimate of
the total number shipped from Lincoln
connty for tho year would be f00 cars..
