Three mnrriage licensor were granted
Tuesday afternoon in the office of the
county judge. Thoy were issued to
William E. Meyers 20, and Anna
Wnllin 25, both of Paxton, Benjamin
C Gosnel 22, and Beulah Roynolds 22,
both of North Plntto. and James C.
Peterson 27, of Lexington and Miss
Carrie M. Stout, 20 of Callaway. Tho
last named couplo was married by
Judge Grant.

Lexington Loses First Game.
The Lexington bowlers lost to tho
North Plntto quinette Wednesday even
ing by a margin of 71 points,, the final
score standing 2340 to 22G9. The match
was interesting and hard fought and
Tillery and Atkinson for Lexington
made high scores, but their other men
fell down so low that the game went to
tho local men. The locals were in good
form and toweled gxd ven games.

Charles Strollberg and family of
Wilcox, Nebr., arrived in the city Tues
day with two carloads of goods and will
make their homo on a farm west of the
city which thoy recentlj purchased.
Mr. Strollborg was here last fall at
the county fair and liked tho looks of
the country and later decided to settle
here. Among tho stock that he brought
along were twenty thoroughbred short
horn cattlc.ond he will go into the busi
ness of raising fine cattle. He has been in
that business for some time and is well
experienced at handling stock and will
undoubtiible make a big success. They
will make their home on alarm known
as tho Brown-Peterson place, five
miles west of the city.

Old Building Moved.
Tho old h41f-burnea wood building nt
the corner of Sixth and Locust streets
is being'moved from its present location
to some lots on South Locust street
near tho irrigation ditch. The building
belongs to tho Wo'odostate and has been
in tho half burned condition since tho
fire last fall. Resides being an eyesore
to tho city it was also considered danger
ous to passers-by. It was purchased n
short time ago ly C. U. Allertdor, resid
ing south of tho city, nnd ho will move
it on some lots which ho recently Dur
ciiased nnd use the lumber for tho con
ntruction of out buildings nnd rough
lumber in a house. Frank Martin has
tho contract for tho moving and work
