passed an ordinance prohibiting unneces
sary whistling of locomotives and fixed

- The question of Sunday picture shows
came up and an ordinance was passed
requiring tho shows to pay a' quarterly
licenso of $15 nnd prohibiting them
operating on Sunday. The penalty was
fixed at $100 and they will not bo al
lowed to resume oporation un

is paid. Tho ordinance goes In
to ejfect as soon as it has been published
as required by law. The ordinance also
nrovldes that tho owners of such shows
aro prohibited to soil tickets oxceeding
tho seating capacity of tho housn and
provided a" penalty of $25 for tho first
ofTocno nnd $50 for tho second. All
former ordinancos in regard to these
measures aro repealed.
