Price of Nebraska Serum.
Beginning with the first of July, the
hog cholera serum laboratory at the
State farm in Lincoln, Neb., will sell
scrum and virus at a price of 1 cent per
c. c. it has been able to put the price
ofseiumat this figure on account of
tho liberality of the last legislature in
adding not only $16,000 to the working
fund, but also in appropriating $15,000
additional ns a subsidy.
At this price there h no reason what- i
ever why the farmers of Nebraska
should not take the necessary steps to
protect their herd.? against the ravages
of cholera. From now on, if hogs die '
of cholera in Nebraska, it will be solaly
because owners have not taken proper i
measures to protect their herds. The
fault will bo their's alone. Immuniza
tion with hog cholorn serum is tho
cheapest hog insurance known.
