Lincoln endorsed tlio "wet" policy
Tuesday. Tho vote for high license
showed nn increase of about '200 as
compared with two years ngo, Over
3,000 votes woro cast.
Aftor a conference with President
Wilson, Postmnster General Burleson
announced Wednesday that nn executive
order would bo issued requiring nil
fourth class postmasters now in office"
or candidates for prospectivo appoint
ment to bo subjected to n competitive
oxnmination to determine their fitness
for tho prospectivo position.

houses to accommodate them. Every
day people apply for houses for rent
only to bo mot with tho reply that
there aro none Just what theso new
comers, or rathor heads of families,
would do to make a living, is a matter
of conjocturc. During tho past five
years about 2G0 residences have been
erected in North Platto, and yot thero
has boon no decrease in tho demand for
rentable houses and none nre vacant.
This indicates a material ncreaso in our
population.

On reading and filing the petition of Corda
V. O'Brien, praying that administration of said
estate may be granted to herself as admin
istratrix. Ordered, That May 20th, 1913, at 9 o'clock a. m.
Is assigned for hearing said petition, when
all persons interested in said matter may appear
at a county court to be held in and for said
county, and show cause why prayer of petitioner
should not bo granted; and that notice of the
pendency of said petition and the hearing
thereof be given to all persons interested In said
matter by publishing a copy of this order in the
North Platte Tribune a legal semi-weekly news
paper printed in said county for three successive
weeks, prior to said day of hearing.

To all persons interested in the estate of
John F, Meir, deceased.
Whereas. Justine Grothcn has filed In this
office an instrument purporting to be tho last
will nnd testament of John F. Meir, deceased,
late of tho county of Bureau, and Btate of Illinois,
together with a certificate of the probate court
in nnd for tho county of Bureau, Btato of
Illinois, and a petition praying to have the
same admitted to probate, which will and testa
ment relate to both real and personal property.
It is therefore ordered that the 3rd day of
June, 1913, at 9 o'clock, a. m., at my oliice in
said county, be fixed as tho timo and placo set for
proving said will, at which time and place, you
and all concerned may appear and contest the
probato of tho same.
It is further ordered that said petitioner give
notice to all persons interested in said estate of
tho pendency of said petition, nnd of thetlmo
nnd place set for hearing of said petition, by
causing a copy of this order to be published in
North Platte Tribune, a leqral scml-weckly news
paper published in North Platte, Lincoln county,
Nebraska, and of general circulation In said
county for four successive weeks previous to the
day set for hearing, viz: June 3rd, 1913, 9 a. m.
