burg today to deliver an address at a
meeting of the medical society on "How

A. touring party, composed of thirty
five cars, will pass through North Platte
on or about June lstenroute west. The
tourisunder the auspices of the Haynes
'motor company.

Travel on the Union Pacific is mighty
light theso days, in fact one train would
accomodate all the passengers that ride
on the three through trains. The other
day the Pacific express had tuirteen
passengers. Hauling an eight-car train
with so fow passengers will not enable
the Union Pacific to declare dividends
regularly.
Beginning next Monday local trains
No 2J and 22 will have a mail car
attached and will handle mail between
North Platto and Grand Island, both
going east and coming west. Mnil and

The Hendy-Ogier Company has sold
on an average one car every third day
since they engaged in business. Tho
sales of the Davis Co. last year wns
ninety cars, practically all of them of
the higher class. Sales this year will
exceed those of 1912.
The general fund of both the county
nnd city has become depleted and those
having claim against those funds are
completed to wait until nfter the levy
in June. Road damages paid out of the
general fund during tho oust year ex
ceeded six thousapd dollars, and this
largely accounts for tho depletion of
that county fund.
